Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Presents David Tlale Fall 2014

Happy belated Valentines Day! I hope everyone felt loved in someway on that day just as I hope you feel loved everyday. In the spirit of my love for fashion I bring to you another runway recap from this past season's fashion week!!!!

David Tlale provided a mind blowing presentation at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2014. Everything from the music, to the models, to the progression of the line from beginning to end was perfect. I had the pleasure of sitting front row and the craftsmanship and detail of the garments was amazing. There was an extra touch of sparkle on some pieces that made them een more special. Although I have used a number of words to describe Tlale's collection, the word I feel describes it the most accurately is dynamic. This was the most dynamic collection I saw all week. Tlale started with a light taupe color and very polished casual to business casual looks. Then, he moved us into a more edgier feel with midnight blues, black, and leather accents. Finally, he ended with these amazing gowns in the taupe, midnight blue, and black colors. The finale gown was a black sheer garment made with sheer black fabric and over the top flower details. I was in love. I dare to say EVERY type of woman could find a piece she would love in this collection. This is rare with designers, as many tend to point their vision in one direction, with one person in mind. The collection was elegant, chic, fashion forward, sexy,.....and so much more. Throughout the show all you could hear was the gasps of of the audience and cameras clicking as each and every garment hit the runway. It was a grand experience and I am more than happy I was able to witness that type of artistic expression and passion.

New York Fashion Week F/W 2014 | Launch Nyc x Manufacture New York Fashion Show

New York City is action packed at the moment. We all thought the craziness would be leaving the Big Apple now that the Super Bowl is came and went, but that could not be any further from the case because....IT'S FASHION WEEK. It's time for all of the world's celebrities, media, bloggers, and genuine fashion enthusiasts to convene in the greatest city on earth, all in the name of fashion.

I had the opportunity to attend Launch NYC Fashion Week by Manufacture New York Demi Couture/Couture show, which featured three independent designers who are apart of the Manufacture New York incubator. The show took place in a loft like space in the Chelsea area of Manhattan. The venue was swarming with photographers and excited guests. At 6:30 pm the show began, starting with design house Minnoji, then segueing into Modu, and finally Mimi New York. The three presentations had very different feels but I enjoyed each equally.

Minnoji went for a very modern feel with leather head piece and leg accents. There was a strong military presence accentuated with blunt asymmetrical cuts. Black and white monochrome is trending for Fall 2014 and Minnoji showed this with a predominately B&W collection. Modu had my complete attention with beautiful wool coats. These coats would complement any Fall wardrobe. Modu offered a more laid back, everyday look but the construction and fabric quality is definitely what made it demi couture. Mimi New York brought a strong sex appeal to the runway with a collection of body fitting gowns. The use of flowing sheer fabrics, lace, and beading gave the line a 1920's flapper feel. The avant garde teased faux bobs were also a nice touch. This one ivory colored gown with sheer cutouts and train was my favorite look for the night.

The Launch NYC event was phenomenal and I would love to attend the Fall showing. Special thank you to MontagePR and Amp3 PR. More event recaps are coming soon.
